Overview
Robert Carman, DO, F.A.C.O.S, is a general surgeon with UPMC Central Pennsylvania Surgical Associates and is certified in general surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery. He received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his general surgery residency UPMC in Central Pa., followed by his fellowship in minimally invasive colon & rectal surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. As director of colorectal surgery, Chris Buzas, DO, specializes in treating patients with colon, rectal and anal cancers as well as inflammatory bowel disease (including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis). He also provides care for people with diverticulitis, various rectal conditions, hemorrhoids and pelvic floor disorders.|He has clinical expertise in complex re-operative colorectal surgeries as well as robotic, laparoscopic and open procedures.
