Dr. Puneet S. Garcha

Puneet S. Garcha, MD, FCCP, specializes in the clinical evaluation & management of patients with end-stage lung diseases & lung transplantation. Dr. Garcha is the Medical Director of Lung Transplantation at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center. He earned his medical degree at Kasturba Medical College in Manipal, India, completed internal medicine training at Drexel University College of Medicine and pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic. He was the Assistant Director of Lung Transplantation and Advanced Lung Diseases at Baylor Scott & White Health, Dallas where he was instrumental in establishing programmatic multidisciplinary care of end-stage interstitial lung disease patients. He anticipates completing a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business in May 2021. His research is focused on identification of therapeutic pathways for chronic lung allograft dysfunction and systematic optimization of post-transplant survival. Dr. Garcha is committed to transplant program development, innovative healthcare delivery, equitable organ distribution and the education of physicians-in-training in transplant medicine.
