Duke Cardiology Arringdon
I wanted to be a doctor from the time I was very young, but it was when my own father had a heart attack in his 30’s that I knew I wanted to be a heart specialist. As a general cardiologist here at Duke, I care for patients with a wide range of heart issues including palpitations, abnormalities, hypertension and heart attacks. I work between two clinics, serving people from a variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds in the community. Although I focus on many therapeutic issues within cardiology, one of my main interests is cardiac arrest, specifically regarding survival of patients who have undergone CPR in a non hospital setting. I love getting to know my patients and finding things that connect us outside of their health or diagnosis. It is a privilege, as a physician, to be allowed entry into patients’ lives to listen, to comfort and to care for them during a difficult time in their health journey. Dr. Anderson is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Cardiac Arrest. Her top areas of expertise are Cardiac Arrest, Ventricular Fibrillation, Pulmonary Edema, Atrial Fibrillation, and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI).
