Dr. Bruce Lachterman

Bruce S. Lachterman, MD, F.A.C.C. was born in St. Louis, Missouri, received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, California, and completed his medical training at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico, and the University of California Irvine School of Medicine, Irvine, California. Following internal medicine training at Irvine, Dr. Lachterman completed his cardiovascular training at the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center-affiliated teaching hospitals including Hermann Hospital and St. Luke's Texas Heart Institute. Dr. Lachterman has been working in The Woodlands since 1993. Dr. Lachterman is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in the Subspecialty of Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology and is a Fellow of the American Board of Cardiology. Dr. Lachterman is the author of numerous publications involving exercise testing, as well as myocardial salvage and ischemia. These articles have been published in several peer-reviewed journals, including American Journal of Cardiology, Annals of Internal Medicine, Cardiology Board Review, Journal of Interventional Cardiology, and the prestigious Circulation. Dr. Lachterman's professional appointments include Chairman for the Departments of Cardiology and Internal Medicine at Houston Northwest Medical Center Hospital, Memorial Hermann-The Woodlands Hospital, and St. Luke's Health'The Woodlands Hospital. Dr. Lachterman is currently the Medical Director of the cardiac cath lab of Houston Northwest Medical Center, as well as St Luke's Hospital/Community Medical Center-The Woodlands.
