Dr. Steve A. Simpson
Overview
Dr. Steve Simpson has served the heart-health needs of the Fort Worth community since 2011. He is fellowship-trained in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology with specialized training in a variety of areas, including coronary and peripheral interventions, echocardiography/transesophageal echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, dobutamine stress echocardiography and cardiac CT angiography. The focus of his work lies primarily in the treatment of coronary artery and obstructive coronary disease, congestive heart failure and peripheral vascular disease. In addition to his practice, Dr. Simpson recently served for several years as chief of Cardiology at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. He also serves as medical director for an area chest pain center and a cardiac rehabilitation facility.Dr. Simpson earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, N.Y. He completed his internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston before making his way to the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. to complete his fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. Dr. Simpson is a member of the American College of Cardiology. Beyond medicine, he is a former professional harpist who enjoys listening to and playing classical music. He and his wife of 20 years are happily raising their two children.

Dr. Khurram Ahmad worked as a Interventional Cardiologist at Beaumont and Henry Ford Systems in Michigan for 7 years before moving to Texas. He also served as the teaching faculty for the Oakwood Hospital cardiovascular Fellowship. He earned his medical degree with honors from King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan before coming to the United States in 2004. He is a fellowship-trained interventional cardiologist with certification in internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, cardiac CT, and interventional cardiology. Dr. Ahmad completed an additional interventional cardiology fellowship at Michigan State University. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Ahmad relocated to North Texas in 2019.
