Dr. Sekar earned his medical degree from Madras Medical College in India in 1982. Prior to his arrival in the United States, Dr. Sekar was trained in England, where he first studied cardiology. There he worked as a Registrar of Cardiology in Sunderland City Hospital, then as Registrar of Transplant Cardiology in Harefield Hospital.
