She is actively involved with several randomized clinical trials and observational studies, and currently serves as the director of Core Biomarker Studied in the VITAminD and OmegA-3 Trial (VITAL). Most recently, she examined the association of novel lipid biomarkers and the development of cardiovascular disease in patients taking statins.
