Philosophy of care | I view myself as an advocate and an educator for my patients, and greatly enjoy getting to know them and their families over the years. I am also an expert in quality cardiac care. My goal is providing effective, safe and high-value care for all our Heart and Vascular Institute patients. | Why I entered medicine | I loved the science of muscle physiology, cardiac mechanics and therapeutics. I wanted to use this science to help people get better and live longer. | Community involvement | I am a member of the American Heart Association’s Circle of Red Society, women working in the community in various ways to raise awareness about heart disease. | Personal interests | I love spending time with my family. My children are runners and soccer players. My husband and I both run with them and enjoy watching them compete.
