Alex Harrison, MD, FACC is a board certified cardiologist serving the community of Santa Maria as well as offering noninvasive outpatient cardiovascular imaging services at C4 Imaging. He was named in 2011 and currently acts as the Director of the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department at Marian Regional Medical Center. He was elected by his peers to serve as the Chief of Cardiology at Marian Regional Medical Center for 2012 and 2013. I completed my residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Irvine, and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the Ochsner Heart and Vascular Institute in New Orleans.  While at the Scripps Clinic, I completed a fellowship in interventional cardiology as well as a fellowship in Structural Heart Disease and Peripheral Vascular Interventions, receiving an additional year of formal training in transcatheter aortic valve replacement, Watchman left atrial appendage closure, ASD/PFO closure, mitral valve repair, and peripheral vascular interventions.I'm a past fellow-in-training member of the Interventional Scientific Council for the American College of Cardiology and a current member of the Interventional Writing Group. I'm also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI).My goal is to provide outstanding cardiovascular care to Bakersfield and the southern San Joaquin Valley.
