Overview
Sandeep Chopra, MD strives to help and heal patients with all heart related issues. He provides compassionate care for adults in central Oklahoma City. Dr. Chopra is interested in helping patients with screening and prevention of heart disease. He connects with SSM Health's Mission of providing exceptional patient care. Dr. Chopra received a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University at Buffalo in Buffalo, N.Y., before completing medical school at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, N.Y. He then finished an internal medicine residency at Henry Ford Health in Detroit, Mich. and a fellowship from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Chopra has provided care to Oklahomans for over 20 years, including over 18 years at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Midtown Oklahoma City. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association, American Society of Echocardiography and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology He is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi. When not caring for his patients, Dr. Chopra enjoys swimming, eating exotic food and traveling. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Karen Chopra, and their two children. They enjoy cheering for the Oklahoma City Thunder together as well.
