Dr. Dimitrios P. Lintzeris

I was inspired to pursue medicine by my father who is a primary care physician in private practice. Even as a child, I understood the special role he was privileged to play in the lives of so many residents in our small community. Though medicine has changed in countless ways since his career started, I believe connecting with patients on a personal level continues to be a key component of a successful patient-physician relationship. I thoroughly enjoy making genuine connections with my patients and their families. I’m excited to be a part of Duke Health and look forward to partnering with my patients and the vast resources offered to me to deliver personalized, high-quality health care. My specific interests include breastfeeding medicine, clinical preventive services and autoimmune diseases. During my fellowship, I completed the Mary Rose Tully Training Initiative, a lactation consultant training program that allowed me to gain valuable clinical skills in providing care to breastfeeding moms and babies. I am happily married to my high school sweetheart, and we have three beautiful children who are growing up much too quickly.
