Philosophy of care | My goal is to provide the highest level of professional care in a compassionate manner. To spend time with each patient listening closely to their concerns, providing explanation on often complex medical conditions, making treatment decisions together, and building long term relationships. | Why I entered medicine | Rheumatology captured my interest as an Internal Medicine resident. The ability to diagnose and treat often challenging autoimmune conditions, as well as additionally being able to treat other non-inflammatory musculoskeletal processes, continues to make my days interesting and enjoyable. | Community involvement | I have enjoyed my years being very active in youth sports programs. Particularly my coaching and administrative positions with youth basketball and baseball leagues. Now I enjoy watching those athletes I coached and my own children from the stands at high school sporting events. | Personal interests | I enjoy spending time with family and friends, such as taking trips with family and attending sporting events – especially at colleges our children attend. I enjoy running for exercise.
