4 Clinical Trials
Duke Neurological Disorders Clinic - Clinic 1L
I am a neurologist who focuses on multiple sclerosis and related inflammatory conditions of the brain. I attended Duke as an undergraduate student and then again as a neurology resident and fellow. After a career in the Navy, I returned to Duke as part of the faculty in 2002. I am proud to be a part of the Department of Neurology because of its commitment to expanding expertise in the area of multiple sclerosis, not just for our own patients, but for people worldwide. I love the challenge of figuring out the best treatment for each individual I care for, and I am passionate about educating patients about the risks and benefits of the different therapies available so they can partner with me in making decisions about their health. I am committed to providing the best care possible to my patients and giving them hope for the future. Dr. Skeen is rated as a Distinguished provider by MediFind in the treatment of Neurosyphilis. His top areas of expertise are Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis (RMS), Encephalitis, and Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis.
Kernodle Clinic West - Neurology
I am board certified in Neurology and fellowship board certified in Clinical Neurophysiology. Seeing patients with general neurological issues (e.g. concussion, seizure, syncope, neuropathy, headache, dementia, Parkinson's disease, tremors, multiple sclerosis) interests me the most. I am focused on outpatient neurology, and I believe in patient and family-centered care. I believe lifestyle modification and non-pharmacological treatments are a very essential part of the treatment regimen. At our Burlington location, we offer NCS/EMG, EEG, ambulatory video EEG, Vagal Nerve Stimulatory management, occipital nerve block, carpal tunnel injections, sphenopalatine block for headaches, and injections for various conditions. We take pride in our practices' principals of compassionate neurological care, ease of access for our patients, communication with referring physicians, etc. Dr. Shah is rated as an Advanced provider by MediFind in the treatment of Neurosyphilis.
