Dr. Virginia B. Hyland

Dr. Hacker graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University and earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed her residency as chief resident in family medicine at the University of South Florida 's Halifax Medical Center . Prior to joining the Piedmont Physicians Group, Dr. Hacker worked at White Oak Family Practice of Newnan. Dr. Hacker has received many medical awards, including the Blaxall Award for outstanding dedication to acquiring the art and science of medicine and the Treloar Award for excellence in Women's Health. Dr. Hacker is board certified in family practice and is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Practice and the Medical Association of Georgia. Dr. Hacker treats patients of all ages. Among her many interests in medicine, she takes special interest in women's health, preventative care, adolescent and children's health, diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
