Dr. Shawn Flynn

Shawn Flynn, MD, has been a practicing cardiologist since 2015 and currently sees adult patients at Saint Joseph Medical Group – Cardiology. His areas of interest include valvular heart disease, resistant hypertension, hyperlipidemia, coronary artery disease and arrhythmias.Dr. Flynn’s approach is patient-oriented and faith-based, demonstrating humankindness by listening to his patients. He was inspired to practice medicine by a calling from God.He chose cardiology as a specialty because, he said, it provides “a chance to see measurable improvement in the health and wellness of the patient's life.” Patients, in fact, are his favorite part of the job.Dr. Flynn received his medical degree from University of Louisville School of Medicine, served a residency/fellowship at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and did an advanced structural fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. His time outside of work is spent on family, church and farming.
