Overview
Dr. Richard W. Barth is an orthopaedic surgeon at Sibley Memorial Hospital. He is also an associate clinical professor of orthopaedics at George Washington University. He practices out of Washington Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine at Sibley Memorial Hospital and in Chevy Chase, MD. Dr. Barth earned his medical degree from Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Barth was also a hand and wrist consultant for the Washington Capitals and Washington Wizards. As a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery Carpal Tunnel Syndrome committee, Dr. Barth contributed to a publication focusing on evidence-based guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of carpal tunnel syndrome. He also completed a presentation on Dupuytren’s disease and needle aponeurotomy.
