Dr. Stanley B. Schmidt

Norman Wang, MD, is a cardiologist and is certified in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a cardiac electrophysiologist at the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute and an associate professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His clinical interests include treatment of heart rhythm disorders using non-invasive and invasive means. He utilizes techniques such as catheter ablation to treat atrial and ventricular arrhythmias, implantation of pacemaker-defibrillators, and left atrial appendage occlusion. Dr. Voigt has authored or co-authored numerous peer reviewed publications. He participates in clinical research evaluating new techniques for treatment of atrial fibrillation and novel devices to treat heart failure and slow heart rhythms. He is a fellow in the Heart Rhythm Society and the American College of Cardiology. He participates in the standard setting process for American Board of Internal Medicine Clinical Electrophysiology recertification examinations (CMP).
