For example, spending time to discuss everyday sun protection strategies with a cutaneous lupus patient can make all of the difference in preventing flares. In addition, I enjoy screening for skin cancer since I also have a background in oncology research. I aim to not only diagnose and treat skin cancers but to identify prevention methods as well. On a personal note, I am a former Duke undergraduate, Duke medical student, and Duke resident, so I can honestly attest to my commitment to serving the Triangle community.
