Dr. Margaret Sullivan

Jorge Cheirif, M.D., was born and raised in Mexico City. He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Mexico and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.Cheirif is the director of the non-invasive cardiology lab, medical director of the Hispanic Initiative, and immediate past president and director of the Behavioral Event Review Committee (BERC) at Texas Health Dallas. He also serves as chair of the Heart & Vascular Accreditation Case Manager (HV-ACM) strategy committee. He is board-certified in cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine, focusing on consultative cardiology, echocardiography, CT angiography and cardiac catheterization.Cheirif was on the American Heart Association local affiliate board of directors for two years; has received the Clinician Scientist Award from the American Heart Association; and was named Teacher of the Year by Ochsner Clinic, Texas Health Dallas, and Baylor College of Medicine. In addition, he has been named to Best Doctors in Dallas and Texas Super Doctors for 10 years. Cheirif speaks Spanish, Yiddish and Hebrew, and lives in Dallas with his wife, Heidy. Dr. Alpesh Amin is a fellowship-trained cardiologist and heart failure physician. He is also board-certified in cardiology and heart failure. Dr. Amin has served as a clinical educator since 2001 and has been involved with the heart valve and MitraClip™ program at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas since 2019. Earlier in his career, he began serving as the medical director of the Heart Failure Clinic at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He also has served as associate medical director of Mechanical Circulatory Support at UT Southwestern since 2018.Dr. Amin’s areas of clinical interest and focus include advanced heart failure disorders and heart attack, heart valve procedures, and extracorporeal circulation (ECMO) and other mechanical circulatory support. He earned his medical degree at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine before completing an internal medicine residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in Rochester, Minn. Dr, Amin completed his cardiology and heart failure/transplant fellowships at Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute in Kansas City, Mo. During his final year in cardiology training, he served as chief fellow.Dr. Amin is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He serves as a regional reviewer for the Heart Transplant Committee of the United Network of Organ Sharing. When not with his patients, Dr. Amin enjoys spending time with his family and coaching his children in soccer. Matthew Dickson, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.C., is fellowship-trained and board-certified in internal medicine, cardiac CT, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiology. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., with a bachelor's degree in biology before going on to receive his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Duke University in Durham, N.C., and fellowships in cardiology and advanced multimodality cardiovascular imaging at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.Dr. Dickson's areas of special interest include cardiovascular risks in women after menopause, echocardiography, cardiovascular imaging, ambulatory monitoring and exercise testing. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Society for Preventive Cardiology and North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging. When not caring for the heart-health needs of his patients, Dr. Dickson enjoys jogging, skiing, scuba diving and playing the trumpet. .
