Jorge Cheirif, M.D., was born and raised in Mexico City. He obtained his medical degree from the National University of Mexico and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.Cheirif is the director of the non-invasive cardiology lab, medical director of the Hispanic Initiative, and immediate past president and director of the Behavioral Event Review Committee (BERC) at Texas Health Dallas. Parin Parikh, M.D., FACC, is a native Texan, having grown up in Plano and attended Plano Senior High School. He graduated from Yale University in New Haven, Conn., with honors and obtained his medical degree at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. Parikh has special training in performing cardiac catheterization procedures from the wrist (radial artery catheterization), which can be safer and more comfortable for patients than the traditional femoral (groin) approach. Currently, less than five percent of the procedures in the United States are being performed using this new, innovative approach.Parikh also has specialty training in non-invasive cardiac and vascular imaging, including echocardiography, stress tests, nuclear medicine and peripheral vascular ultrasound studies.
