He remained at the University of Cincinnati to perform fellowships in heart failure and transplant, general cardiology and interventional cardiology. Before joining AMG, Dr. Ahmad served as the director of the Pulmonary Embolism Response Team at the University of Cincinnati. Additionally, he served as the heart failure director and associate cardiac cath lab director at VAMC, Cincinnati, Ohio. As an associate professor, he successfully mentored several medical trainees and his contributions to education have been recognized by successive teaching awards.With a clinical interest in advancing treatments for severe heart conditions, Dr. Ahmad has served as principal investigator for several clinical trials, authored numerous publications for peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at various local and regional conferences. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, as well as an associate of the International Society of Heart and Lung Transplantation and the Heart Failure Society of America.As a partner to patients in challenging moments, Dr. Ahmad strives to provide comprehensive support throughout a person’s health journey.
