He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas and his D.O. degree from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine where he was on the Dean's Honor Roll and graduated first in his class. As an undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, Dr. Bakshi was active in the Asian American community and served as Asian American Student Association President and received the Outstanding Asian American Award.
