Tarek Abdallah, MD, specializes in pulmonology at Ochsner Health. Dr. Abdallah brings a wealth of education and experience to his patients. After earning his medical degree at the Lebanese University Faculty of Medical Sciences in Beirut, Lebanon, in 2003, he continued his training in the United States. He completed his residency in internal medicine in 2009, and his fellowship in pulmonary diseases and critical care medicine in 2015, at Staten Island University Hospital Northwell Health in New York. Dr. Abdallah has been practicing in Louisiana since 2015, and joined Ochsner in 2018. Demonstrating his commitment to staying at the forefront of his field, he completed a one-year fellowship in sleep medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston - Texas Medical Center in 2024. Dr. Abdallah offers expertise in a wide range of lung and sleep disorders. He treats asthma, COPD, pleural diseases, sarcoidosis and autoimmune lung disorders, lung cancer and staging, sleep apnea, excessive sleepiness, insomnia, restless leg syndrome and parasomnias.
