My father, coming from a small town in Greece, was first amongst many who instilled the importance of working towards defining oneself through excellence. Family & life experiences tempered this integrity with empathy and stewardship, as I sought to do all I could to live life by exampleIn half century since, I spent much of my career engaged in teaching, including residents and fellows, as a board-certified General and Colon & Rectal Surgeon.
