Dr. David Cassel

Dr. David Cassel is a dedicated medical oncologist and hematologist at Intermountain Health’s Cancer Center at McKay-Dee in Ogden, Utah and Layton Parkway – Cancer Center in Layton, Utah. He supports patients throughout Weber and Davis County, helping them understand their cancerous blood disorders and helping them get the proper treatment.Born into a family deeply rooted in healthcare, with his mother working as a nurse, Dr. Cassel initially pursued engineering before finding his true calling in medicine, drawn by the intellectual challenges as well as the opportunity for meaningful human connections. His favorite aspect of his practice is being able to collaborate with patients to unravel the complexities of their health, emphasizing shared decision-making and patient participation in the process.
