Craig Arntz, MD is a board certified orthopedic shoulder specialist with 20 years of experience treating problems that often require shoulder surgery, including rotator cuff tears, instability, fractures and shoulder arthritis. Dr. Arntz has advanced training in shoulder surgery with extensive experience in treating the most complex shoulder disorders. Additionally, Dr Arntz is a board-certified hand surgeon. Recognized in the Seattle and Renton community as a shoulder and upper extremity specialist, Dr. Arntz is proud to have had thousands of physician and patient referrals. A Seattle native, Dr. Arntz has co-authored several articles and book chapters about rotator cuff repair and shoulder arthritis reconstruction. Dr. Arntz has particular interest in arthroscopic shoulder repair, rotator cuff surgery and shoulder replacement surgery, including reverse shoulder replacement. Dr. Arntz uses advanced techniques to restore his patients' shoulder and hand comfort and function as quickly and safely as possible. He practices at Valley Orthopedic Associates' Renton clinic. Outside of medicine, Dr. Arntz enjoys to spend time with his family. He also enjoys snow and water skiing, boating and travel. Dr. Thomas Trumble, M.D. completed medical school at Yale University School of Medicine and he continued his orthopaedic residency at Yale New Haven Hospital. After completing residency training, Dr. Trumble completed a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at Duke University in 1984 followed by a Hand and Reconstructive Fellowship at Harvard University at the Massachusetts General Hospital. He taught at Yale University for four years as an assistant professor before moving his family in Seattle to join the University of Washington. For twenty years he served as chief of the hand surgery service and the director of the fellowship training. Because of his interest in bringing specialty hand surgery to the Eastside, Dr. Trumble established an office practice on the Eastside in 1998.
