Dr. Biermann serves as Director of the Musculoskeletal Oncology Program at the University of Michigan. Her clinical interests include malignant and benign tumors of soft tissue and bone, both primary and metastatic. Her practice includes both adults and children. Dr. Biermann chairs the Multidisciplinary Sarcoma Tumor Board, a collaborative cancer center group including medical and pediatric oncologists, pathologist, diagnostic radiologists, and radiation therapists. He then completed a fellowship in Adult Joint Reconstruction and Replacement at Cornell University and the Hospital for Special Surgery.Dr. Kheir is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, Michigan Orthopaedic Society, and the Mid-America Orthopaedic Association. He has authored over 75 peer-reviewed publications, and presented his work at international, national and regional meetings. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his research and has been featured in several online media articles. Dr. Kheir has been directly involved in four international consensus meetings to create guidelines for managing hip and knee arthritis and complex arthroplasties. He has further immersed himself into research by leading multiple clinical trials as the principal investigator. He also serves on the editorial board and as a peer reviewer for clinical journals to ensure the high quality of clinical data that impacts patient care.
