Dr. Jason E. Liebowitz

Jason Liebowitz, MD, FACR, completed undergraduate studies atJohns Hopkins University, where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. Heattended medical school at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine andcompleted his Internal Medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Bayview MedicalCenter, where he served as Chief Resident. He completed his Rheumatologyfellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital and was nominated for the 2019Distinguished Fellow Award from the American College of Rheumatology. Hisresearch and writings have been published in The New England Journal ofMedicine, JAMA, JAMA Internal Medicine, Arthritis Care and Research, andThe Journal of Graduate Medical Education, among other journals. Heparticipated in fellowships with the American Federation for Aging Research(Medical Student Training in Aging Research), the American Austrian Foundation(Max Kade Clinical Clerkship in Vienna, Austria), and the Fellowships at Auschwitzfor the Study of Professional Ethics (through Yale School of Medicine). Heis a co-editor of the textbook Clinical Innovation in Rheumatology: Past,Present, and Future and a co-editor of the textbook series InterdisciplinaryRheumatology. He is also a staff writer for The Rheumatologist, aperiodical that reaches over 10,000 readers. He is board certified inrheumatology and internal medicine.

His clinical expertise encompasses Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Gout, Polyarteritis Nodosa, and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).

Dr. Liebowitz is board certified in Rheumatology. He is actively involved in clinical research, co-authoring 22 peer reviewed articles. Dr. Liebowitz is currently accepting new patients.
