Overview
Jennifer M. Wright, MD, is an electrophysiologist (a cardiologist specializing in abnormal heart rhythms) at UW Health and the director of Electrophysiology and Arrhythmias Services.Dr. Wright diagnoses and treats heart rhythm disorders, including fast or slow heart rates, atrial fibrillation (AFib) and atrial flutter. She performs minimally invasive procedures for arrhythmias, and also implants and manages pacemakers and defibrillators. She also has a special clinical interest in treating arrhythmias during pregnancy.In addition to her clinical practice, Dr. Wright serves as an associate clinical professor for the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Medicine, where she serves as the director of the Electrophysiology Fellowship Program. Her research focuses on standardizing and streamlining atrial fibrillation management.I love being able to make a difference and have a positive impact in people’s lives, acknowledging that sometimes that means curing a disease and sometimes it means walking with someone through their disease. I want to see each patient as an individual in all aspects and not just as a disease.
