Dr. Karen Chopra

Karen Chopra, MD, strives to educate, support and encourage patients and their families to be involved in all aspects of their health care decisions, physical and emotional wellbeing. Dr. Chopra connects with SSM Health's Mission of providing exceptional and compassionate patient care. She provides compassionate primary care for adults in central Oklahoma City. Dr. Chopra attended the University of Toronto in Canada before completing medical school at Ramaiah Medical College in Bengaluru, India. She then finished an internal medicine residency at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Chopra has provided care to Oklahomans for over 20 years, including several years at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Midtown Oklahoma City. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Medical Association. Dr. Chopra is interested in helping patients with diabetes, hypertension and improving their general wellness. When not caring for her patients, Dr. Chopra enjoys traveling, yoga, calligraphy and cooking. She also enjoys spending time with her husband and their children. Dr. Chopra is an active volunteer in the community and enjoys evening walks through her neighborhood. She loves cheering for the Oklahoma City Thunder with her family.

Her clinical expertise encompasses Type 2 Diabetes (T2D), Hypertension, Glucocorticoid-Remediable Aldosteronism, and Familial Hypertension.

Dr. Chopra is board certified in Drug Enforcement Administration , Oklahoma Bureau Of Narcotics And Dangerous Drugs , and Oklahoma State Board Of Medical Licensure & Supervision.
