Why Did You Become a Medical Provider? My love of science and deep desire to serve others made medicine a perfect career choice. I then chose to become an Obstetrician and Gynecologist because of the unique opportunity to care for and follow women throughout all stages of life.Personal Interests and Hobbies: Spending time with my husband trying to keep up with our son, walking my German Shepard, biking along the Sacramento River, cooking, playing board games, and watching White Collar.The relationship between a patient and physician is one of trust, collaboration, and partnership. Building this relationship takes time, and one of the things I cherish about my job is the opportunity to spend time and get to know each of my patients.

She specializes in the treatment of of urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse and has expertise including botulinum toxin (BotoxTM) injections and sacral neuromodulation (InterstimTM, AxonicsTM) for overactive bladder and fecal incontinence, as well as minimally-invasive surgical techniques including vaginal and robotic (Da Vinci) for the treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and stress urinary incontinence.Dr. Buono is passionate about providing compassionate and thoughtful care that is tailored to each patient's individual needs. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking with their dog, exploring new restaurants, and spinning.I am privileged to have the opportunity to care for women regarding their sensitive health topics including pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence. My goal is to create a safe space for patients to comfortably discuss these conditions and provide individualized medical counseling so that we can develop a treatment plan as a team.
