Dr. Marilyn Appiah

Marilyn Appiah, DO, focuses on women's health including obstetric care, well-woman exams, gynecological surgery and more. She connects with SSM Health's Mission, as she believes that God has called her to be his humble servant in providing exceptional care to women as a doctor. Dr. Appiah enjoys connecting with her patients and collaborating with them on their health decisions. Dr. Appiah graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Oklahoma before earning a medical degree from Oklahoma State University - College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa. Dr. Appiah then finished an internship at the Cleveland Clinic - South Pointe Hospital in Warrensville Heights, Ohio. Additionally, she completed an obstetrics & gynecology residency at Summa Health in Akron, Ohio and served as Chief Resident during her program. Dr. Appiah is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association. She has provided care to women in the Oklahoma City area for two decades. Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Appiah is interested in helping women with prenatal care and gynecologic robotic surgery. When not caring for her patients, Dr. Appiah enjoys being active in her church community. She also enjoys exercising, playing the piano, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
