Overview
Dr. Pushan Jani earned his medical degree at the M. P. Shah Medical College in India and a Masters of Science degree in epidemiology at the University of Louisville, Kentucky, where he also finished his residency. He completed fellowships in pulmonary critical care at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and in interventional pulmonology at Emory University in Atlanta. Board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine, Dr. Jani’s primary clinical interests are interventional pulmonary, lung cancer screening and diagnosis, and management of mediastinal lymphadenopathy. He also serves as an assistant professor of critical care medicine at UTHealth. In practice since 2007, Dr. Jani treats patients 18 years and older and speaks Hindi and Gujarati. His practice philosophy is summarized by “early diagnosis, better care.” His expertise includes electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound guided biopsies, transtracheal oxygen catheter insertions and percutaneous dilatational tracheostomy. As part of a team of practitioners, he offers multimodality cancer care with onsite presence of specialists in medical oncology, radiology and radiation oncology. Beyond his expertise and multi-disciplinary approach to care, his patients also value his honesty.
