Dr. Reene Naidoo Douglas earned her medical degree from the University of Cape Town Faculty of Health Sciences in Cape Town, South Africa. After working in the field of pediatrics in both South Africa and the United Kingdom, she completed her pediatrics residency with Georgetown University School of Medicine at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., where she also served as chief resident. She completed a fellowship at Red Cross University College in Stockholm, Sweden. Board certified in general pediatrics, Dr. Douglas has been treating pediatric patients since 2011. Her interest in helping children with infectious diseases took her back to South Africa, where she completed a master’s degree in pediatric infectious diseases and also worked for a USAID-funded NGO to improve healthcare provision for underprivileged children. Dr. Douglas loves working with children in the primary care setting and is passionate about providing holistic care for families.
