Dr. Rick Gillis is a graduate of the Medical College of Wisconsin. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, has been in practice at Froedtert and the Medical College of Wisconsin for over 25 years, and has been on the list of Best Doctors for many years.Dr. Gillis returned to full-time practice after leading the implementation of the electronic medical record system, patient care portal (MyChart) and other technologies to improve the processes of care over the past 10 years within the Froedtert and Medical College health systems. Additionally MyChart facilitates prescription renewals and appointment scheduling.Dr. Gillis’ other interests include his family, running, cycling, golf, cooking, photography, classic cars and playing with technology. Many of these interests have grown from a need to help patients gain a better understanding of the management of health and chronic illnesses. This allows Dr. Gillis to do much more than prescribing a medication or making a referral it allows him to practice a philosophy of caring which encompasses the whole person.
