Dr. Santosh Uppu earned his medical degree at NTR University of Health Sciences in Vijayawada, India. He completed his internship at King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam, India, a residency at Albert Einstein Medical School in New York City and fellowships in pediatric cardiology at the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock and Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. An associate professor of pediatrics at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), Dr. Uppu started practicing in the United States in 2005. He is board certified in internal medicine, pediatrics, pediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease. He has advanced training in congenital cardiac imaging, including MRIs and fetal echocardiography. As a specialist in both adult congenital heart disease and pediatric cardiology, he treats patients of all ages. He also speaks Hindi and Telegu.
