Sarah Pineda has been a nurse in a wide variety of settings and specialties, most recently with AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center Trauma Center. That big-picture perspective inspired her to specialize in family practice. She earned her master’s as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Drexel University, where she had previously received her bachelor’s in nursing. She is an R.N. graduate of Baptist Health School of Nursing and Allied Health in Little Rock, Ark. Sarah is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She says cancer care is where she feels she can make a big impact. Her career has also helped her get to know her newly adopted home. With her dad pursuing a Navy career, Sarah lived all over the place, growing up. She lived in Arkansas during her teenage years, where she started her nursing career. She followed family to south Jersey and has been here since 2011. “Once I relocated here, it made sense to pursue my bachelor’s at Drexel. I did a rotation at a family community center in Egg Harbor Township and that was when I really felt I got to know my new community,” she says. Philosophy of Care .I believe in positivity and encouragement. It’s important to have encouraging, positive people around, especially when going through a challenging time. That’s a big part of the healing process.
