Overview
Steven Kane is a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Samuel Merritt University in December 2019 and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Before pursuing his advanced nursing degree, Steven spent over five years in clinical research with a group of advanced gastroenterologists in San Francisco, California. These specialists focused on therapeutic endoscopy, including the removal of large colon polyps, treatment of pancreatic and biliary disease, and management of complex esophageal conditions. This formative experience sparked Steven’s passion for gastroenterology and provided him with a deep understanding of minimally invasive techniques and complex G.I. disease management. Following his graduation, Steven began his NP career in pain management, where he developed comprehensive, multimodal treatment plans for patients with chronic pain. This role further strengthened his diagnostic and care coordination skills. In 2021, Steven returned to gastroenterology and has been practicing in specialty since that time. Steven’s clinical interests include celiac disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). He focuses on evidence-based approaches and fostering collaborative, empathetic relationships with patients. Steven is committed to lifelong learning and actively engages and continuing education to stay current with innovations and gastroenterology.
