Philosophy of care | My practice philosophy is to hold your welfare – the patient’s welfare – first and foremost. I am committed to providing you with personalized, high-quality care, whether I am seeing you in the office for an appointment or in the hospital. I especially value clear, prompt and respectful patient-physician communication. Although my expertise in interventional cardiology involves treating existing blockages, I strongly believe that prevention is the key to long-term good health and much of that comes from excellent control of cardiovascular risk factors. My goal is to provide optimal evidence-based care with the best possible outcomes for you. I strive to put that into practice every day. | Why I entered medicine | As a biomedical engineering student, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to assist in innovating novel cardiovascular technology while working with many physician-scientists and their patients. I quickly observed the inexplicable bond that exists between physicians and patients. This allowed me to truly appreciate the value of medicine and the importance of bridging the gap between engineering and medicine. Today I find the constant progress within cardiovascular treatments inspiring due to rapid innovation that brings minimally invasive therapies to our patients. I am consistently energized and motivated by patients who benefit from quicker recovery, better outcomes, and improved survival rates. Cardiology is a dynamic field seeing prolific advancement on all fronts, with interventional cardiology at the forefront of many leading-edge technologies. Interventional cardiology is truly gratifying to me since it utilizes revolutionary therapies to immediately help critically ill patients. I find my work meaningful as well as impactful. | Community involvement | As a native of the Lehigh Valley, I am eager to leverage my expertise to give back to the community that fostered my growth. Having family and friends in this very area makes me even more passionate about educating, not only my patients and their families but also the entire community regarding cardiovascular disease and new evidence-based therapies. I have spoken at various forums around the Lehigh Valley, published articles online and in our local newspaper and will continue to look for new opportunities and mediums to share information. I volunteer to create awareness in the community while conducting cardiac health screenings. | Personal interests | During my leisure time, I love playing sports like basketball, tennis, golf and squash.
