Overview
Dr. Daniel Heithold, a board-certified general surgeon at CHI Memorial Surgical Associates, is dedicated to providing patients with the benefits of minimally invasive surgery. He was fortunate to complete his surgical residency at Georgia Baptist Medical Center. At that time laparoscopy was in its infancy, and Georgia Baptist Medical Center was the busiest laparoscopic hospital in the world. This experience ignited a passion for advanced techniques, leading Dr. Heithold to teach laparoscopic surgery across Asia, Europe, and South America. As an early adopter of robotic surgery, he now prefers this method for most procedures, including gallbladder removal. His focus over the past several years has been on hernia repair and abdominal wall reconstruction. Outside of his practice, Dr. Heithold enjoys cycling, hiking, and exploring the world with his wife, family and friends.
