Born and raised in Corpus Christi, Dr. Sims completed his bachelor’s degree at Rice University and then earned his medical degree at the UT Health Science Center at Houston. After finishing school, Dr. Sims joined the United States Navy, where he completed his internship at Naval Medical Center San Diego.
