Overview
I specialize in diagnosing and treating heritable arrhythmia syndromes that affect children and young adults such as long QT syndrome, Brugada syndrome, catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia syndrome, and short QT syndrome. I specialize in identifying the cause of patients who have experienced a sudden cardiac arrest. I am a physician-scientist and cross-trained in pediatric cardiology, electrophysiology, human genetics, and molecular physiology. I lead an active research program that brings together clinical medicine, functional genomics, precision medicine, and molecular and cellular biology.

I treat infants, children, and adolescents, as well as adults, with congenital heart disease, who have cardiac arrhythmias, syncope, and aborted sudden death; those who have or need a cardiac pacemaker or defibrillator, and those who need treatment of their rhythm problem with catheter electrophysiology study and ablation. I also evaluate and treat congenital and acquired heart disease in infants, children, and adolescents. It is my privilege to care for each patient and family.
