Dr. William E. Katz
Overview
William Katz, MD, is a cardiologist and is certified in cardiovascular disease and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is medical director of the UPMC Presbyterian Echocardiography Laboratory and an associate professor of medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at UPMC Montefiore followed by his fellowship at UPMC Presbyterian. Dr. Katz’s clinical interests include general cardiology, atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease, and utilizing echocardiography in catheter-based treatment of valvular heart disease. He has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of the American College of Cardiology and American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Katz lives in Indiana Township with his wife and four children and is a sports enthusiast.
