He performs traditional cranial neurosurgery for brain tumors, aneurysms, AVMs and cavernous malformations as well as endovascular techniques such as aneurysm coiling, stenting and flow diversion, acute stroke treatment, carotid artery stenting, transverse sinus stenting, as well as embolization of arteriovenous malformations, arteriovenous fistulas, brain tumors, head and neck tumors and subdural hematomas.Dr. Stiefel is a senior member of the Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery and was awarded Subspecialty Certification in NeuroEndovascular Surgery by The Society of Neurological Surgeons Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training.Dr. Stiefel is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
