He also was director of the Advanced Gastrointestinal Surgical Fellowship. Previously, Dr. Harrison was associate professor of surgery and chief of the Division of Surgical Oncology at University Hospital in Newark for 12 years. In addition to his clinical practice, he was involved in research and taught medical residents and students. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
