Kenneth D. Gold, MD graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College. He earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, and then trained in Internal Medicine at George Washington University, where he also served as Chief Medical Resident. His fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology was completed at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Gold is board-certified in Internal medicine, Hematology and medical Oncology.
Previously Chief of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Good Samaritan Hospital, West Islip, and an attending physician at Southside Hospital, Dr. Gold has been a leader in Suffolk County in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood diseases since 1983. He served for many years as the Chair of the Transfusion Committees at both Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center and Southside Hospital. He completed both his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology at New York University Medical Center.
