Overview
Dr. Ortiz Cruz joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Center in September 2014, after completing her hematology and medical oncology fellowship at the University of South Carolina in Charleston. She completed two years of research at the National Cancer Institute | National Institutes of Health in Bethesda Maryland where she was involved with clinical research in radiation oncology in addition to work with medical oncology. Dr. Ortiz Cruz also completed an internal medicineresidency training program at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. She has published several articles in scientific journals and presented at various meetings. Dr. Cruz's specializes in solid tumor and hematologic disorders with a special interest in breast, colon cancer and lymphoma. Dr. Michael Musci joined Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in June 2007 as a Medical Oncologist. He comes to us from Kaiser Permanente Oncology Department in Walnut Creek, California. Dr. Musci received his medical degree and PhD at the University of Iowa. After Internal Medicine Residency, Dr. Musci received fellowship training in Hematology Oncology at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, California. His areas of clinical and research interests include several solid tumors and hematological disorders. He currently resides in Chandler with his wife and three children, and enjoys tennis, chess and racquetball during his spare time.
