Shruti Boorla, D.O., is fellowship-trained and board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and nuclear cardiology. She grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth community and received all of her medical training in-state.Boorla graduated with honors from Baylor University in Waco with a bachelor’s degree in biology before going on to earn her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. She excelled during her medical training, as she was chosen as chief resident and chief fellow in cardiology through the internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship programs at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth.Boorla’s areas of specialization include diagnostic catheterization, cardiac imaging and women’s cardiovascular health. Jorge Cheirif, M.D., was born and raised in Mexico City.
