He also has expertise using focal impulse rotor modulation (FIRM) ablation, a specialized catheter ablation procedure that individualizes ablation treatment to each patient.Dr. Schricker also has extensive experience implanting all cardiac rhythm devices, including pacemakers, defibrillators, biventricular devices (cardiac resynchronization therapy [CRT]), and implantable loop recorders. As an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine, Dr. Schricker instructs medical students, residents and fellows at UC San Diego School of Medicine. His research focuses on investigating mechanisms of atrial fibrillation. He has co-authored many abstracts and journal articles, and his work has appeared in Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Circulation: Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology, and Journal of Cardiovascular Electrophysiology, among others.Dr. Schricker completed fellowships in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at UC San Diego School of Medicine, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine.
