Dr. Tu K. Le provides compassionate, comprehensive care for general and invasive cardiology in patients with known or suspected diseases of the heart or circulation. He is a testamur of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (NASPE).Dr. Le has a strong philosophy concerning a balanced life and applies this in his practice and focus in preventive and general cardiology. Raising five kids with his wife, he truly understands the demands that patients have in their lives and makes every effort to balance that with the latest cutting-edge therapy in cardiovascular care, whether that is through medications or, if necessary, invasive and interventional procedures. Aside from his practice and family, Dr. Le has managed to complete his MBA program from the University of Texas, Dallas, graduating with high honors and receiving the Beta Gamma Sigma honor. He has applied this skillset in his leadership positions in the local hospitals and Texas Health system. He has also managed to help start up a free medical clinic in his church and served as the medical director. Matthew Dickson, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.C., is fellowship-trained and board-certified in internal medicine, cardiac CT, echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and cardiology. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Saint Olaf College in Northfield, Minn., with a bachelor's degree in biology before going on to receive his M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Duke University in Durham, N.C., and fellowships in cardiology and advanced multimodality cardiovascular imaging at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.Dr. Dickson's areas of special interest include cardiovascular risks in women after menopause, echocardiography, cardiovascular imaging, ambulatory monitoring and exercise testing. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, American Society for Preventive Cardiology and North American Society for Cardiovascular Imaging. When not caring for the heart-health needs of his patients, Dr. Dickson enjoys jogging, skiing, scuba diving and playing the trumpet. . "Shirley Ann Williams, M.D., was born in Peoria, Ill. Raised in a family with 12 children, she received her B.S. in Biology from Peoria's Bradley University, where she graduated cum laude. After completing medical school in 1977 at the University of Iowa School of Medicine, Iowa City, Iowa, Williams continued her education at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, where she completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in noninvasive cardiology.Upon completion of her formal medical training, Williams became a staff cardiologist at the Veterans Administration Center in Temple, Texas. While there, she also served as assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the Texas A&M University College of Medicine. These experiences inspired Williams to expand her skills by pursuing an additional fellowship in invasive cardiology at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa., in 1990. Prior to her move to Dallas, she was in private practice in Macon, Ga., for 4 1/2 years. A Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, Williams is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), and the ABIM Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Diseases.In 2011, Williams was nominated as ""Cardiologist of the Year"" for Denton County. She serves as medical director and chairman of the quality improvement committee and utilization review committee at Lewisville Medical Center, where she is also a member of the leadership team and serves as secretary of the medical staff. Williams is also a member the hospital's critical care committee and open heart committee. She received the Thomas F. Frist humanitarian award from Lewisville Medical Center in April 2011. Williams also serves on the HCA North Texas Division physician quality advisory committee for the nine north Texas hospitals.Williams holds active medical staff privileges at Texas Health Flower Mound, Lewisville Medical Center and Texas Health Denton.Williams joined Cardiovascular Specialists P.A. in April, 1995.
